Griffin School of Excellence (GSE)

Enrollment Policy & Student Agreement

Effective date: September 10, 2025 — applies to all GSE courses, including: Coding to Career Python Developer, AI Business Accelerator, Forever Food Truck Ownership, and Audio/Video Engineering.

1) Eligibility & Registration

  • Who can enroll: Adults 16+. Students under 18 require a parent/guardian to accept this Agreement and serve as the responsible party for billing and conduct.

  • How to enroll: Complete the online registration and pay the $99 non‑refundable registration fee plus the first monthly tuition (pricing as of this effective date; subject to change for future cohorts).

  • Seat confirmation: Enrollment is first‑come, first‑served. Your seat is held after payment clears and you receive an email confirmation.

  • Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join a waitlist. If a seat opens, you will be notified in order.

2) Payments & Billing

  • Tuition model: Monthly/Annual billing. Monthly billing billed on the same day each month as your initial tuition payment. No FAFSA/loans through GSE.

  • Auto‑billing: By checking the box at enrollment, you authorize recurring monthly charges to the card on file until you cancel per Section 3.

  • Past‑due accounts: After a 5‑day grace period, late accounts may incur a $15 late fee and portal/community access may be paused until payment is received.

  • Payment methods: Major credit/debit cards. ACH by request.

  • Payment failures: If payment fails twice, your seat may be released to a waitlisted student.

3) Cancellations & Refunds

  • Registration fee: Non‑refundable once paid, except if GSE cancels the course entirely.

  • You may cancel within 7 calendar days of initial enrollment and before attending your second class (or before completing 2 hours of online content), for a full tuition refund of the first month. Registration fee is not refunded.

  • You may cancel anytime via the Student Portal. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current month once your billing date has passed.

  • School cancellation: If GSE cancels a course/cohort before start, you may choose a full refund of tuition + registration fee or transfer to another start date. If GSE cancels mid‑month, pro‑rated tuition will be refunded for unused classes.

  • How to cancel: Use the Student Portal to submit cancellation at least 3 business days before your next billing date. No email required.

4) Transfers & Deferrals

  • Before cohort start: One free transfer to a later cohort if requested ≥7 days before start.

  • After start: One‑time deferral credit may be offered for documented emergencies (illness, family emergency) at GSE’s discretion; $25 admin fee may apply.

  • Course switches: Subject to seat availability; tuition carries over; new materials differences may apply.

5) Attendance, Participation & Make‑Ups

  • Format: Fast, hands‑on classes (typically one evening per week or Saturday sessions).

  • Attendance: Aim for ≥80% attendance. Missing more than 20% of sessions may prevent certification of completion.

  • Make‑ups: Where available, join an alternate session or complete assigned make‑up labs/recordings.

  • Tardiness: Arriving >15 minutes late counts as a tardy; 3 tardies = 1 absence.

6) Learning Materials & Technology

  • Included: Digital books, cheat‑sheets, templates, and practice files via your student portal.

  • Bring: Laptop recommended (8GB RAM+ for Coding/AI/AV; Wi‑Fi capable). For AV, headphones/USB mic recommended.

  • Software: Free/education tiers where possible. You are responsible for any optional paid tools you choose.

7) Code of Conduct (Harassment‑Free)

  • GSE provides a safe learning environment. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruption is prohibited.

  • Respect faculty, peers, facilities, and property. No illegal substances or weapons on premises.

  • Violations may result in warnings, removal from class, and/or dismissal without refund.

8) Academic Integrity & AI Use

  • Integrity: Submit your own work. Cite sources. No plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration.

  • AI tools: Allowed as a learning aid where permitted by your instructor. You must disclose AI assistance in submitted work when requested and be able to explain your code/content.

  • Exams/assessments: May be proctored and AI‑free unless stated otherwise.

9) Intellectual Property

  • Student work: You own your original work. You grant GSE a non‑exclusive license to display your work for instructional and promotional purposes (you may opt out by emailing expanse@ebcfaith.com).

  • Course content: © GSE. Materials are for your personal use only; do not reproduce, resell, or distribute.

10) Communication, Recordings & Media

  • Community: You’ll be invited to private group chats for Q&A and accountability. Treat others with respect; no spam/solicitations.

  • Recordings: Some sessions may be recorded for enrolled students.

  • Photo/Video release: You consent to being photographed/recorded in class for GSE promotional use. To opt out, tell your instructor and email expanse@ebcfaith.com before your first class so seating can be arranged accordingly.

11) Accessibility & Accommodations

  • GSE welcomes learners of all abilities. For accommodations, email expanse@ebcfaith.com at least 5 business days before class begins. We will engage in an interactive process to determine reasonable supports.

12) Safety & Facilities

  • Follow all posted safety rules. For off‑site/field activities (e.g., food truck site visits, recording sessions), follow instructor directions and wear required PPE where applicable.

  • Report hazards or injuries immediately to staff.

13) Certifications & Outcomes

  • Courses may align to third‑party certifications (e.g., PCEP/PCAP, ServSafe, CTS/Adobe/Avid/DaVinci). Alignment does not guarantee passing scores.

  • GSE does not guarantee employment. We provide portfolio guidance, interview prep, and referrals where possible.

14) Changes to Courses

  • GSE may modify schedules, instructors, or curriculum to improve learning or address unforeseen issues. Material changes will be communicated promptly. Where changes materially reduce value, you may request a pro‑rated credit/refund.

15) Dispute Resolution

  • Please contact your instructor or GriffinSchoolofExcellence@ebcfaith.com first. If unresolved, the matter may be escalated to the Program Director.

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of Texas (Bexar County). Venue and jurisdiction shall lie therein.
